2008 Scholarship Program

 

GACOE annually offers the Vicki Cannady Memorial Scholarship and the Robert F. Williams Jr. Memorial Scholarship to eligible applicants pursuing a college education. The amount to be awarded for 2008 will be $1000.00 to 4 recipients.

 

The NASCOE Scholarship Application may also be found at the NASCOE website, www.nascoe.org under “Scholarships”.  All applications which are eligible for GACOE Scholarship will be forwarded for Southeast Area consideration also.

Applications must be received by March 1, 2008.

 

Applicant Eligibility

 

1.                  Applicant must be a GACOE member, member’s spouse or member’s legal dependent. The member must be a county FSA employee who has paid their dues and their membership is current for the past 5 consecutive years or since becoming a FSA county office permanent employee eligible for full GACOE membership, whichever is less.

 

2.                  Applicants may be either a high school senior or graduate with a minimum of a “C” average in both the junior & senior year or may be a full-time (Minimum 12 credit hours) college student with a minimum of a “C” average up to the Bachelor Degree level.  Applicants must be a college freshman through senior in the fall of 2008.

 

Application Instructions

 

1.                  Complete the NASCOE Scholarship Application & mail to:

2.                  The application must be received by March 1, 2008 to be considered for the 2008 GACOE Scholarship.

 

3.                  Include a copy of an official transcript of applicant’s grades with a letter of recommendation from your guidance counselor or advisor.  Grades must be on a 4.0 scale.  Your counselor should convert letter or other grading scales.
